"The Wading Pool" - Questions from the Newly Reformed Forum where those new to the Reformed faith may ask questions on Reformed doctrine and practice. This is not a place to begin a thread to forward a theological position but is designed to answer questions of those who might be intimidated to start a thread in another forum. Any user may post a question but only elders and those with special permissions may respond.

Douglas Wilson

Hello, I am not newly reformed but I am unfamiliar with the federal vision. I have a general idea but do not know specifics. My question is regarding Douglas Wilson. I know he is a federal visionist but what about his books on husbandry and family? I have really looked to those as I am learning to be a husband and a father. Are these tainted with federal vision perspectives? Is there something that I should watch out for when studying these books?

Learn the nuances of FV and then you can spot it for yourself. Take a look at the FV subforum.

If I have to use the common appellation for He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named I usually spit three times immediately afterwards.

Most of those books were written before RINE and Mother Kirk. I haven't found any FV tainting in his other books. DW wasn't always FV, you see. It was a gradual process.
