What Is Presbyterian Law as Defined by the Church Courts?

Amazon.com: What Is Presbyterian Law as Defined...Amazon.com: What Is Presbyterian Law as Defined... John Aspinwall Hodge (1831-1901), nephew of Charles Hodge, was born in Philadelphia, Pa. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1851 and Princeton Theological Seminary in 1856. He was ordained and installed as Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Mauch Chunk in 1857. Hodge remained there until 1865 when he accepted a call to the First Presbyterian Church of Hartford, Conn. He served as Pastor at Hartford for 26 years. After Hodge resigned from the ministry he served as Professor at Lincoln University in Oxford, Pa., until his death. Dr. Hodge authored several books including his "The Ruling Elder at Work" and "The System of Theology Contained in the Westminster Shorter Catechism Opened and Explained" which he co-authored with his cousin A. A. Hodge.
