A young poet's prayer.....

We need a poet Forum to post in.... I write poems quite frequently and would like to share a few every now and again. I wrote this one a couple of days ago, when I felt burdened with alot of things to do.... of course with the help -and the timing of God- they all got done. I wrote this as a prayer, but would like to share it with my bretheren here on PB. May we always remember no burden is to heavy to bare when you have the help of the almighty!

"He Bore My Sins"

Transgressions blotted out, sins forgiven;
Mercy bestowed by Your Son You have given.

A Shepherd so willing to die for His Sheep,
An everlasting covenant He promises to keep.

The yoke of His elect he bore on His back,
Taking on their sin, but His own He did lack.

That crown of thorns I forced on His head,
The nails that I drove caused His blood to flow red.

Thanks be to God for my Savior, my Surety,
Oh! how I disgraced Him with my putrid impurity.

"Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never permit the righteous to be moved." -Psalm 55:22

Very good, brother. Thanks for sharing that. Now we have poetry forum -- please feel free to share other inspirations that you may have.
