A theological riddle

I made this riddle in 2001. Each of the four parts has a specific Scripture behind it. See if you can solve the riddle:

"A deeply-cursed sinner is called by my name, yet God will raise me in the hearts of His people;
God will give me to those who praise His name, and I am pointed to by a church’s steeple."
