| | | Songs and poems about ungratefullness...sin.
First.....a Question? I love the idea of reading my brother's and sister's writings, but, to have a separate thread for each work, although it has its strengths, may not be the best way to peruse the works. Might be easier to have one thread, and people put their poems for a while, and comments....or songs....I don't know..just thinking aloud here.......maybe themed threads, Poems and songs on anxiety say....or sin, or Grace....Praise.....
Just some ideas......
So to test the idea:
Post your thoughts on these songs and poems, Theologically accurate??? And post your own songs or poems in this topic area.
(EDIT....CHORDS DID NOT COME OUT RIGHT....SECOND CHORD IS ABOUT HALF WAY DOWN LINE. SORRY.)
"Gray lined Sunny Skies"
Kind of a blues/country vibe
G Em7
Look out my window, Son’s grace on me,
F C
So why does gray line, everything I see.
Life’s been a blessing, got more than I should,
But the grass on the other side, it looks so good.
Chorus:
G
So I wine…
Em7
I complain…
F
Woe is me…
C
I’m having a great day!
I wine…
I complain…
Woe is me…
Just another grey lined sunny day!
In my blessings, you’ll hear me curse,
It’s my old man. Putting me first.
Chorus:
And I wine…
I complain…
Woe is me…
I’m having a great day!
I wine…
I complain…
Woe is me…
Just another grey lined sunny day!
My heart cries,
My old man deceives,
A darkness rises within me.
(up to here, same chord line as first, I have not figured out a nice change up for next two lines…)
But I……will….be…….what you see……..
But I……will….be…….what you see……..
G Em7
If I was driving, this life a mine
F C
I’d a crashed in the river, A thousand times.
Another hands, got the wheel,
This sinner saved by grace,
sure glad it’s not my will.
Help me not to whine
Don’t complain,
Blessed is me,
I'm having another Grace lined Sunny Day!!!!!

I think everyone should just have a thread dedicated to their own work and any poems of other authors they want to share.

| | | Yeah...that's a good idea....
Yeah, that's another idea as well, just so it's not a hundred threads for a hundred poems.....harder to read them all that way, instead of just scrolling down and being able to read a few or more at a time.....
