Everyone's talking Jesus, O Lord;
But no one's following Him;
They'll rather cling to their idols, O Lord;

To be prayed to for their power,
But no prayers for Your honor.

Everyone's tithing Jesus, O Lord;
But no one listens to Him;
They'll rather splurge and pamper, O Lord;
And pride on their offerings.
"A coin in the offering bowl;
One more sin God will ignore,"
So as Tetzel's friends exclaim;
As in ignorance they remain.

Everyone's praising Jesus, O Lord;
But no one's living for Him;
They'll rather eat meat tasteless, O Lord;
Than season it with Your salt.
Seen Sunday praises they sing;
Seen Monday they blaspheme;
"Hallelujah!" they'll joyfully sing,
All while they indulge in their sin.

Everyone's thanking Jesus, O Lord;
But no one's grateful to Him;
They'll rather bow at Man's praises, O Lord;
Than seek Your Spirit's delight.
Pomp and grandeur their souls relish;
Yet they anger at hardship;
Stubbornly marching without You
As an anchor for their soul.

Everyone's preaching Jesus, O Lord;
But no one's modeling Him;
They'll rather be ruled by tyrants, O Lord;
Then take up Your gentle yoke.
They'll use guns to fight for peace;
But won't hear the Prince of Peace;
Man's nature still strongly throbbing;
While the screams of the dead ring.
