| | | The Day of Doom The Day of Doom is an epic poem, first published in 1662, about the Judgment Day by the Puritan poet Michael Wigglesworth. It may be challenging reading for some, but for those willing to dig deep it's worth adding this classic to one's library. Cotton Mather once said The Day of Doom may be read until the Last Day. It may be considered the omega poem to John Milton's alpha Paradise Lost.
For more info, including a link to the text of the poem itself, see http://www.princeton.edu/~eng366/tdod.html

| | I love that poem! Sorry for all the bananas, but I love it! Michael Wigglesworth was the best!!! In fact, it was essentially Day of Doom which converted me (from Athiesm). Hurray history! And hurray Cotton Mather, too!

| I believe they may be related. But don't hold that against Michael Wigglesworth!

Isn't a Wigglesworth a race in the Narnia series? Hard to take someone named "Wigglesworth" seriously.
