“The first mathematics in the western world was that of the Egyptians and the Babylonians. Compared with the mathematics of their successors, the Greeks, the mathematics of the Egyptians and Babylonians was primitive at best."

Bible Translation

Posted 03-08-2008 at 10:06 AM by jaybird0827

Here the reader's attention is drawn to the words of the Holy Spirit which were originally written in Hebrew and were being quoted in Greek. For these to be the words of the Holy Spirit in Greek or English, it must be a received principle

PROBLEM:

A man is 3/8 of the way walking across a railroad trestle when he hears a train approaching at 60 mi/hr. If he runs to either end of the bridge, he can just make it to safety as the train passes. How fast does he have to run?

SOLUTION:

Psalter

I always understood a Psalter to be some kind of compilation of Psalms, biblical or metrical.

How can the Trinity Hymnal, blue, red, green, or whatever color it comes in, in any sense be termed a "Psalter"?
