I'm an Anglican who subscribes to the 1662 Book of Common Prayer as a liturgical expression of the Reformed faith. I also believe the 39 Articles of Religion are Calvinistic and that the Lambeth Articles of 1595 and the Irish Articles of 1615 are legitimate expressions of the Reformed and Anglican faith. Additionally, I agree with James I. Packer that the Westminster Standards are a more detailed commentary upon the 39 Articles of Religion since the Westminster divines were for the most part Anglican ministers. I have another blog at Reasonable Christian where I comment on just about anything.

Part VI: Chapter Five of Thirty-Nine Articles: The Historic Basis of the Anglican Faith
". . . it is faith in God and in His promise which brings the blessing promised, whether it be salvation or any other gift. Consequently the Articles make it abundantly clear that if the sacraments are received without faith on the part of the recipient, they are as ineffective as is the Word heard but not believed."
