I'm an Anglican who subscribes to the 1662 Book of Common Prayer as a liturgical expression of the Reformed faith. I also believe the 39 Articles of Religion are Calvinistic and that the Lambeth Articles of 1595 and the Irish Articles of 1615 are legitimate expressions of the Reformed and Anglican faith. Additionally, I agree with James I. Packer that the Westminster Standards are a more detailed commentary upon the 39 Articles of Religion since the Westminster divines were for the most part Anglican ministers. I have another blog at Reasonable Christian where I comment on just about anything.

In a day when there is great temptation to compromise the Gospel for the sake of ecumenical unity Reformed Christians ought to stand firm against the onslaught of false gospels of justification by merits or confusing perseverance with justification. Our perseverance is itself a gift of God and therefore cannot be a basis or ground for our justification! Please see The Reformation Day Declaration.
