Just a few words.

I find it amazing that one of the central issues concerning Covenant Theology is rarely addressed in this discussion. Maybe it is something that I hold too dear to. But I absolutely love the doctrine of the Covenant of Works and the Bi-Covenantal system of understanding our Bible. I include the Covenant of Redemption in the Covenant of Grace. Sorry if that bothers some of you. Well, not really.

The Federal Vision advocates hate this system...

When Bible Translations Affect Doctrine

Are all Bible translations created equal? More than just a discussion over dynamic or formal equivalence ( ), is the simple question of whether a translation can dramatically affect a person's doctrine.

For example, two translations mentioned were "The Message Bible" and the "NIV".

Let's start with an example from "The Message Bible", Mt 18:15-17 concerning how to deal with a Christian who has sinned against you. Most should know...
