God so good...

Posted 02-17-2008 at 09:45 AM by Raj
God is so good... is a very famous and old small song sung by the people of God for many years. I love also it. I have sung it many times but today, I thought of this small composition in my own life fitting true and thought of writting some thoughts about it.

1. God is so good

Yes, God is good. There is nothing wrong or evil in Him. He created me. He loved me. He provides me. He sustains me. He loves me. He watches over me. He heals me. He guides me. He thinks...

Cougars in California

Posted 02-09-2008 at 03:44 PM by VirginiaHuguenot
This is a poem I wrote in 1994 after reading about the resurgence of wild cougars in populated parts of California.

Cougars in California

The sands of desert Zion blow
Westward before the coming storm
See, cougars roam that future isle
Whose suburbs from the church are torn

Broken are hearts of those who loved
Were not, and so went on their way:
Unfenced first the table, then
By law the state they led astray...

PROBLEM:

A man is 3/8 of the way walking across a railroad trestle when he hears a train approaching at 60 mi/hr. If he runs to either end of the bridge, he can just make it to safety as the train passes. How fast does he have to run?

SOLUTION:

If he runs back to the near end, he runs 3/8 of a bridge and gets out of the way as the train begins crossing the trestle.

If he runs to the far end, he runs an additional 3/8 of the bridge and is 6/8...

Psalter

I always understood a Psalter to be some kind of compilation of Psalms, biblical or metrical.

How can the Trinity Hymnal, blue, red, green, or whatever color it comes in, in any sense be termed a "Psalter"?
