Jimi Hendrix represented, both culturally and morally, the worst in our country's history. I believe it to be impossible to separate the music from the man and everything that he represented. Sorry if this offends anyone. That is not my intent at all. I simply get nautious when I see one of the great icons of evil in America get lionized. The reason I hate hearing him play the national anthem is because his idea of America (and thus, what he meant when he played it) is one of promiscuity, nihilism, and hedonistic pleasure at all times.  | Thanks for sharing.
