Well, to be fair, she never really ever was a "Christian" rocker. Releasing a go nowhere "gospel" album as your first attempt at 16 years old doesn't really put one in that category...at least not in my opinion. Being a child of "two pastors", it isn't surprising that her first chance to do anything would be in that arena.

Obviously she did exactly what she was truly wanting to do a couple of years later as soon she was an adult and able to do so.
