NO. I think they went every year. It was their custom to go every year. But it was when He was twelve, that He stayed behind in the temple and taught the teachers.
Luke 2:41-42 says:
"Now his parents went to Jerusalem
every year at the feast of the passover.
And when he was twelve years old,
they went up to Jerusalem
after the custom of the feast."
