Thanks, Todd, but that wasn't it either. I have now added that to my toolbar, though. For some reason, nothing I type on these particular documents shows up as a misspelling. Really, really, weird. I just typed lksad;kj;salk and the wavy red line didn't occur, even though the wavy line thing is activated. *sigh
