| Who's the rocket scientist that decided to make Chicago a major international hub?
I was boarding my flight from Tokyo to Chicago about 14 hours ago and commented to another Marine that I hate flying into Chicago because there are always delays.
Sure enough, after a 11 hour flight we were held in a pattern above Chicago because the weather was preventing a landing. We landed 35 minutes later. Long flight make such delays difficult because you sort of psyche yourself up to the time you think you're going to land. But having Robertson's Christ of the Covenants helped pass the time.
I got through Immigration really fast because they have a military line but then it took a long time for my bags to come out. They finally did and I thought: "Cool, I'll have time to get some coffee and wait for 30 mins for my flight."
My flight to Washington/Reagan was cancelled.
The good news is that I'll still be getting to D.C. tonight but now it will be 2 hours late.
I hate flying into Chicago.
