Same guy wrote "Gospel According to Peanuts." At least with CSchultz there was some overt religious connections. I'm not sure any such thing can be predicated of "Dr.Seuss".
But this is classic Barthian view of revelation: God can use even a "dead dog" as an agent. If it makes a nice connection in your mind, it must be God talking.
