Yes, that's what I'm wanting to do, copy her mailbox to my computer. I've never had a network before so I didn't know what the capabilities are. I was able to copy some documents that I had stored. I think the emails and the program are probably under "Program Files" somewhere but that doesn't appear to be accessible. The Thunderbird setup file shows up under "desktop", so I would be able to dl that, but the program itself doesn't appear in the folder even though there is a shortcut to Thunderbird on the desktop.

The backup instructions involve saving the emails to an external storage device. I don't have an external storage device except for the ancient hard drive that I will soon try to put into an enclosure so I can copy some files from it, mainly the Opera browser and its built in email client which has a bunch of old emails. Maybe I can try to use it for transferring the Thunderbird emails too. There aren't any important emails on there (and nothing real important on the old hard drive either), but I was wondering if it could be done.
