Its just as well you're a lawyer, DeShazo...
Don't enourage him, it only makes him meaner! In America, we put our attorneys through a three year hazing ritual. It actually has nothing to do with being a lawyer. But, over the centuries it has evolved as a way for one generation of lawyers to impose upon the next a set of onerous and wholly irrational expectations designed to make them share the pain of the prior generation's hazing. The first year they scare you to death; the second they work you to death; and the third they bore you to death.

If, after three years and that little matter of the bar exam (partly objective multi-state and part essay with a couple of months of agony before you find out if you passed) you still have not dropped out or dropped dead, they permit you to put the ascription "esq." at the end of your name.

In America that means that you have a ticket to earn obscene amounts of money (not as obscene as a neursurgeon, but almost as much and at least equal to the guy who does your plumbing) and the prerequisite for running for political office (where you really make your money, mainly by graft or by becoming a lobbyist when you term out or are turned out of office).

In Andrew's case, he is still in the pupa (chrysalis) stage. In a couple more years he will complete his metamorphosis and emerge as a glorious attorney (or at least an "associate").

Please do not encourage him, feed him grist for his mill, or taunt him unnecessarily. The socialization process of law school takes only the most ferocious and feral of the species and trains them to be scary smart, lean, mean, killing machines. Even though you are an entire ocean apart from him, he will find you, hunt you down, and slap you with subpoenas, writs, suits, and the like. You will likely never be able to crawl out from beneath it all.

In the name of all that is right and just in the world . . . don't provoke him!!!
