Huh? Not sure how you misread Bob there.
What he's saying is that the natural man is passive. Our culture now says that passivity is the way to go - so the culture tempts men to act according to their natural tendency.
However, the Bible calls men NOT to a passive but a loving and active role in the home - we must struggle against our nature in order to take that active role. That's all Bob was saying (hope he doesn't mind me speaking for him).
