Well said; and something often left in the background of our understanding. Perhaps that's understandable as Adam was standing in the background when he should have been in the foreground.
Modern day accounting:
3 The thug in the city park was the shrewdest of all the thugs in the city. One day he asked Ishah, “Did the surgeon general really say you must not take any drugs?”
2*“Of course we may take drugs,” the woman replied. 3*“It’s only the drugs from thugs in the city park that we are not allowed to take. The surgeon general said, ‘You must not take them or even touch them; if you do, you will die.’ ”
4*“You won’t die!” the thug replied to Ishah. 5*“The surgeon general knows that your understanding will expand when you take these drugs, and you will be like research scientists, knowing both approved and street drugs.”
6*Ishah was convinced. She saw that the drugs were attractive and easy to take, and she wanted the wisdom they would give her. So she took them and got wasted. Then she gave some to Ha-adam,
who was with her, and he got wasted too. 7*At that moment their eyes were opened, and they suddenly felt paranoid and got the munchies. So they went to MacDonalds and satiated their hunger. From that day on Ha-adam made sure Ishah had plenty of drugs and plenty of munchies; otherwise she would beat him soundly about the head and shoulders.
So much for the protector...
