Science is truth and superior and leads to higher spiritualism and belief in religion is backwards and wrong and goes against man's so-called free will.... Many of the features of the Orii comes direct from many facets of Christianity through history though cast by the producers in a dark light... At time I almost wanted to cheer for the Orii instead of Earthlings....

But I did enjoy the closure of the "Ark of Truth" since it wrapped up the series of SG-1....

Anyway, that is just my beef with the whole Orii Arc.....
Yes, the entire series seemed to trumpet the "free will" thing throughout. But what else whould we expect from the pseudo-science and sci-fi crowd?

I've always thought of the Ori, and the Goa'uld before them, as Muslim Terrorist types. Though I certainly see how they (the producers, et al.) would have a broader view of religion in general being the oppressor of the people.

However, wasn't it interesting that throughout the series they often received "divine intervention", in the form of the Ancients (or perhaps even the Asgard) stepping in to "help"? So at least accidentally they didn't portray man as having all the answers himself.
