The first sentence seems to imply that, to be saved, we need more than "God's pardon of, and the imputation of Christ's righteousness" - we need more than faith to be saved/justified, we need faithfulness/sanctification. | No he is talking about what God does in the life of His elect: something that encompasses more than justification.
