I came across this quote from Cunningham myself recently and I've been "digesting" it myself. In the last year I have been particularly struck by how important it is to meditate upon that which is read or heard so that what has been taught or conveyed to me is made, by God's grace, more fruitful.

Edward Bickersteth made a similar remark which I quoted here:

And I was curious about the Luther quote because I've seen it cited in different ways but never directly from Luther himself. If anyone knows Luther's original statement, please see this thread:
