The dancing took place in civic celebrations of national deliverance, it did not take place during worship as such.

Drama, the only drama authorised by God are the sacraments ('visible words').
I'm not trying to be difficult here, but how do you know that?

I still struggle with the idea that we should dismiss the instructions in Psalm 150 to "sing to Him with tambourine and dance" (ESV) or "Praise him with trumpet sound; praise him with lute and harp!...praise him with strings and pipe! Praise him with sounding cymbals; praise him with loud clashing cymbals!" as mere symbolism, especially when the same people who dismiss the instructions in Psalm 150 are so dead set on singing Psalms only. It seems to be a contradiction to me. But that is just my
