Ok I know that there have already been threads over this movie but thier closed and I want some discussion. Did anyone see it on A&E the other night?
Am I mistaken or was it Ted Haggard that was preaching against Homosexuality in one part of the Movie??
One thing I am really curious about is are any of the things the guy that preached at the Camp said even in the bible? I cant recall any quotes right now, ill have to view the movie again, but he there are several times during it he says the Bible says, or God says, but he never gives even a book of reference.
I am all about teaching our children the Truth, God's word is truth. That is exactly why I want teach them Christianity because it is the Truth, towards the end of the film the lady is debating with the radio host over why she thinks children should be "indoctrinated". She responds, because every other religion does it, she also states statistics about knowledge children learn and such, but she doesnt proclaim that Christians Teach thier kids about God and Jesus because it is Truth, rather she accepts the radio hosts postmodern thought that it is just a choice to be made by the kids.
By the definition of Evangelical Christian given in this documentary no one on this site is an Evangelical Christian. It says "Evangelical Christians believe you are saved when you are "born again" by believing in Jesus."
I am also unsure if this movie was made to say evangelicals should "indoctrinate" their kids, or if they shouldnt.
