This isn't just a football game Thursday night, it's GOOD versus EVIL. The Packers, honest hard working boys from the frozen tundra meeting this slick, slimy gang of hoodlums from Dallas. Let's look at Dallas.

That's where JR Ewing was from. He was the corrupt adulterous tycoon from TV who was shot in 1980 by his sister-in-law who was pregnant with his baby.

The Packers don't have cheer leaders but they borrow cheerleaders from St. Norbert's College now and then. Norbert was a saint. The girls are nice wholesome girls who are modest and teach Sunday school and stuff.

The Cowboys hire strippers to lead cheers and what have you not.

The Cowboys are owned and managed by Jerry Jones. Yeah, that's what I'm talking about, the slick flow of Jenny Jones with the deadly tongue of Jim Jones and the first name of.... of... Jerry Lewis. Yeah, I think you know what I mean.

So there you have it, empirical evidence that Green Bay is good and Dallas is evil.

I am just so saddened that my sister Anne will cheer on a team of reprobates just because they happen to play in the area. Oh, chagrin! Oh, vexation!
I hate to burst your bubble but Wisconsin is one of the least churched states in the country, recent surveys found Wisconsin youth more prone to identify themselves as atheist than any other US region per capita. Sad truth, pray for revival and root for Dallas.
Seriously, revival is nothing to joke about...and I know you aren't trying to do that. Bottom line: I really don't care who wins Thursday night's game or any game. To tell you the truth, I'm more concerned about my church, its spirirtual growth, and the preaching of the gospel in my community.

But it doesn't hurt to watch a football game once in a while.
Absolutely I agree, which is why i made a point to emphasize prayer for revival and to root for Dallas as separate issues although in the same sentence.

I have Wisconsin friends and they are not too Christian and claim their state isn't either (not that many are), I pray for them of course.
