You make a good point. If I have said otherwise, I perhaps should recast part of my objection: while a good hatred of the North might not be biblically warranted, understanding the North's actions helps one understand Dabney's rhetoric. Does it justify it? Probably not.

As to G., I agree. His take on African Americans is much superior. I cringed at some of the things I read from Dabney.
