I assure you that I agree with the spirit behind your post, but considering the state of the SBC today, I have to strongly disagree.
The original poster is
not causing division; not by teaching sound doctrine, and not by expecting a fair discipline process.
The
pastor is causing division by teaching errant doctrine, censuring sound teaching, and expecting those who support sound teaching to 'go away quietly'.
I genuinely wish I could accept the idea of setting truth aside and leaving in the interest of peace. Seriously, I wish I could.
