Ruth generally does not have great commentaries, but that is balanced by the fact that the Hebrew is relatively easy, and that the narrative is readily accessible.
Duguid is the best for pastoral application. Block is helpful, and Hubbard can have good material, although he can bore you to tears with critical stuff as well.
