His way of treating the obsessive thoughts is to confront them and tell yourself that you are what you fear. It's hard to swallow this as a therapy considering that dwelling on those thoughts is sinful. I was intrigued by this treatment for OCD as someone else brought up this subject under the "Inability to Control Thoughts" title. I guess the main point of the exposure therapy is to essentially become numb and bored with the thoughts. As a Christian I think that would be unbiblical advice for someone dealing with obsessions/compulsions.
