I must state the fact from Scripture that God only saves through His Word. Unfortunately, many reformers hold to the misunderstanding that God saves through their preaching. We read in Romans 10:17 "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." God only saves by His WORD - the scriptures.....

I'm not real well read in the reformer's writings, but in the limited amount that I have read I never got this impression. I'd like to avoid those reformers who hold to this position, so can you list the ones you're referring to so I can avoid them?
