I would add to thanksgiving, that when (if) we say, "God, bless this food to the nourishment of our bodies," we are making a creedal statement. We are declaring our firm belief in Providence, and denouncing Natural Law. Food doesn't just "work" chemically/organically, to nourish us. God is active to make it happen.
